ON YOUR BIKE

Two Brethren from Peel Moat Lodge No 7633, in the South Eastern Group, took part in the annual 60 mile Manchester to Blackpool bike ride in aid of The Christie. The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year. Their charity is the second largest hospital charity in the country. Over 20,000 supporters and 2,000 fundraisers help bring in £13 million a year which helps fund their research and additional patient services. WBro John Hanson (a sprightly 71 years of age) and Bro Roger Warwick (a mere stripling at 61 years of age) completed their rides in 6 hours 50 minutes and 5 hours 15 minutes respectively. Together they raised the magnificent sum of £771.
